WEATHER

Like many tropical countries, Costa Rica experiences just two seasons; wet and dry. The dry season lasts from mid December until the end of April and is called the verano  (summer) by Costa Ricans. The rest of the year is wet and is called the invierno (winter).

Temperatures will vary little from month to month, with the main influencing factor being the altitude. San Jose for example, with an altitude of nearly 1200 meters   ( 4000 feet) has  a spring like climate year around, with the lows averaging 15 C (59 degrees) at night and highs are a delightful 25 C (77 degrees) during the day.
