My Travel Through Costa Rica
Central America is a different kind of place. It is a little bit off the normal tourist route and not terribly accommodating for backpackers as far as hostels go, although there are numerous cheap hotels. Each country in Central America is unique. Costa Rica is the current hot one in this region.

Stranded in our hotel in Manuel Antonio/Quepos Costa Rica...!
If you don't have a Costa Rica rental car, any Costa Rica hotel between Villa Romantica (Quepos) and Costa Verde (Manuel Antonio) could become a tourist trap... Nothing personal!

Don't leave stuff on the beach unattended
It didn't happen to us, but while we were in Quepos, Costa Rica on the beach, a poor tourist couple were looking everywhere for their backpack with his wallet and tickets.

Costa Rica's Manuel Antonio / Quepos Cafe Milagros
This Costa Rica restaurant's food was nothing spectacular. Typical cafe food (muffins, eggs, bagels). However, the frozen drinks like Mono Loco and Quepoccino were great.

A canopy tour in Quepos, Costa Rica is a must!
I can't remember the name of our Costa Rica tour group but they are all probably about the same. We did about four hours of zip lines and repelling through the canopy of Costa Rica's forests.
